Heartland Hospital Ham station
I have been in contact with Steve Groshong with Heartland Hospital and they have now received their amateur radio equipment. They plan to have it installed in the near future. The antennas and coax will be installed by Midwest Mobile. I will be meeting with Steve this week to finalize the layout of the equipment and installing the computer programs for digital work. I am looking for someone in the Buchanan Co. area who can take charge of this station to be the contact person(s) for the hospital should the need for emergency communications arise. This person(s) would also perform communications checks on a periodic basis to ensure that everything is operational. If you are interested or know someone who would be able to take this on email me at kc0qlu@yahoo.com or call me at 816-592-0509.

RE: Heartland Hospital Ham station
I agree that communication is very important for emergency purposes especially in hospitals. I am not sure what particular radio equipment are you planning to install. I am not sure if it was already installed but I hope it is as modern as the one we usually hear in some hospitals used by medical staff to call particular doctors. Heart Surgery
